The Transportation Economics Division (TED) provides comments to federal transportation regulatory agencies, including the Surface Transportation Board and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, on behalf of agricultural shippers under authority given the Secretary of Agriculture by §201 of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938 (pdf) and § 204(j) of the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 (pdf).

Find brief updates as well as USDA and AMS comments provided to various regulatory agencies, representing the interests of agricultural shippers under the authority of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938 (7 U.S.C. 1291), Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 (7 U.S.C. 1622), and International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs Act of 1982 (7 U.S.C.)

Upon request, TED provides certification for U.S. refrigerated transportation equipment exported to countries participating in the Agreement on the International Carriage of Perishable Foodstuffs.
