Peanut Standards Board

The 2002 Farm Bill (pdf) requires that all peanuts marketed in the United States be inspected and graded by federal inspectors or federally licensed state inspectors. The Farm Bill initiated USDA to appoint a new Peanut Standards Board of industry members. USDA consults with the Board on quality and handling standards for domestically produced and imported peanuts. View the regulations.
