The funding opportunity for the FY 2022 USDA AMS Tribal Seafood Pandemic Response and Safety Grant Program is now closed. Upon completion of the review process, AMS will notify applicants of the status of their funding request.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced today that walnut producers voted to continue their marketing order program for walnuts grown in California.

In a referendum, 68% of walnut producers voting, who represented 70% of the volume of walnuts produced, were in favor of continuing the program. The referendum occurred Dec. 6-31, 2021 and was conducted by USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture today announced the appointment of 13 members to serve on the National Watermelon Promotion Board. The appointees will serve three-year terms from Jan. 1, 2022, to Dec. 31, 2024.
