Background
The Grain Inspection Advisory Committee has had discussions on technologies in the grain industry and past recommendations around the topic of official use of technology or data driven changes in the official standard.
Objectives and Discussion
The GIAC should discuss the pro’s and con’s of establishing a permanent sub-committee around technology. This committee could look at establishing continued lines with Industry to assure needs from all aspects of the grain industry are being considered. The full GIAC could recommend objectives and directive of communication for this sub-committee to follow
Next Steps
The Grain Inspection Advisory Committee will have the opportunity to discuss this topic at the next scheduled 2024 meeting and provide guidance on how to move forward.
