Aflatoxin - Almond Approvals 

At the request of the Almond Board of California, LATD Staff have developed and manage an approved laboratory program for the testing of almonds for the presence of aflatoxin. Laboratories seeking to participate in the program must meet specific quality requirements that include the testing of proficiency check samples and annual onsite laboratory reviews. There is a yearly fee for participation in the program.

Aflatoxin - Peanut Approvals 

LATD manages a laboratory approval program for the testing of peanuts for aflatoxin. All peanuts destined for human consumption must be tested in a USDA or USDA-approved laboratory before entering into United States commerce. Laboratories seeking to participate in the program must meet specific quality requirements that include the testing of proficiency check samples and annual on-site laboratory reviews. There is a yearly fee for participation in the program.

Aflatoxin - Pistachio Approvals 

LATD manages a laboratory approval program for the testing of aflatoxin in pistachio nuts for export and domestic market. Laboratories seeking to participate in the export and/or domestic program(s) must meet specific quality requirements that include the testing of proficiency check samples and annual on-site laboratory reviews. There is a yearly fee for participation in the program.
