USDA Seeks Comments on Request for Approval of a New Information Collection in Support of Voluntary Grading, Certification and Verification Services
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking comments on a Request for Approval of a New Information Collection. In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), the USDA, AMS intends to request approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for a new information collection used in support of the voluntary grading and certification of meat, meat products, shell eggs, poultry products, rabbit products and Quality Systems Verification Programs.
Dairy Products
U.S. Grade Standards for Dairy are voluntary and aid in the marketing of milk and dairy products by providing a common language of trade through the development, improvement, and interpretation of standards, specifications and quality improvement programs.
Individuals or industry groups who wish to propose the development or revision of a U.S. grade standard may contact the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). Any action AMS takes on U.S. grade standards will reflect the broad interest of individuals, industry, and federal, state, and local agencies.
