USDA Seeks Comments on Request for Approval of a New Information Collection in Support of Voluntary Grading, Certification and Verification Services

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking comments on a Request for Approval of a New Information Collection. In accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35), the USDA, AMS intends to request approval from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for a new information collection used in support of the voluntary grading and certification of meat, meat products, shell eggs, poultry products, rabbit products and Quality Systems Verification Programs. One new form is introduced in this information collection. The new form, LP-109A, requests respondents’ accounts payable contact information. The addition of LP-109A will increase accuracy and efficiency in billing administration by having the applicable contact responsible for receiving billing statements and submitting payment for services rendered.

The Notice was published in the April 6, 2021, Federal Register. Written comments must be received by June 5, 2021.
