National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) Meeting - Virtual

The NOSB met to discuss substances petitioned for addition to or deletion from the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National List), substances due to sunset from the National List in 2024, and recommendations on organic policies.

The NOSB typically meets twice per year in various locations around the United States. During meetings, the NOSB listens to public comments, discusses agenda items and Subcommittee proposals, and then votes on recommendations to the Secretary in a public forum.

Dates: The referendum will be conducted from June 7 through June 28, 2021. Only current pecan growers within the production area that produced a minimum average of 50,000 pounds of inshell pecans over the four years from October 1, 2016, to September 30, 2020, or own a minimum of 30 pecan acres are eligible to vote in this referendum.
