USDA Export Verification Program for Products Transiting the European Union

Effective January 15, 2022, the European Union (EU) is implementing additional animal health requirements for products transiting the EU to third countries. The USDA Export Verification Program for Products Transiting the EU is a voluntary, user-fee service available to meat and poultry slaughter facilities  to provide verification that meat and poultry meet the EU-transit animal health requirements. Neither further processors, nor fabricators or processors are required to meet the Program requirements.

USDA Releases Details of New Dairy Export Certificates for Dairy Consignments to European Union

On December 6, 2021, new dairy export certificates were made available for U.S. dairy product exports destined for the European Union (EU), including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member countries Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

AMS to Host Webinar on Farm and Food Workers Relief Grant Program, Introduce Technical Assistance Providers

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will hold an informational webinar for eligible organizations interested in applying for the Farm and Food Workers Relief (FFWR) Grant Program on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021 from 1 to 2 p.m. ET. The webinar will provide an overview of the grant and application requirements, introduce the technical assistance providers and give information on how to obtain support during the application process.
