USDA Announces Delay of Effective Date of Grower Payment Systems Final Rule
Today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced it has delayed the effective date of the Poultry Grower Payment Systems and Capital Improvement Systems final rule from July 1, 2026, to Dec. 31, 2027.
USDA Announces Temporary Suspension of Continuance Referendum for South Texas Onions Marketing Order
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced today that the continuance referendum requirement under the federal marketing order for South Texas onions is suspended temporarily until 2032.
USDA Announces Appointments to the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced the appointment of 42 members to serve on the Cattlemen’s Beef Promotion and Research Board. Thirty-nine members will serve three-year terms beginning May 2026. One member will serve a two-year term, and two members will serve a one-year term starting immediately.

USDA Announces Appointments Cotton Board
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced the appointment of 10 producer members, 10 producer alternate members, seven importer members, seven alternate members and one advisor to serve three-year terms on the Cotton Board from Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2028. Additionally, USDA appointed four individuals to fill board vacancies.
