The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced today that pecan producers voted to continue their marketing order program applicable to pecans grown in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas.
Who can file a complaint?
Anyone who has knowledge or information regarding a possible violation of the USDA National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard (BE Standard) may file a written statement or complaint. If we determine that your complaint does not pertain to the BE Standard, it will be closed without further action.
What is a BE Standard violation?
The U.S. Department of Agriculture today announced 17 appointees as members of the new American Pecan Promotion Board. The newly appointed members will serve two, three and four-year terms.
Ten producers and seven importers make up the 17-member board. The 10 producer members will be allocated between three regions within the United States as follows: three from the Eastern Region; three from the Central Region; and four from the Western Region.

The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is announcing revisions to the 2021/2022 rates it will charge for voluntary grading services for tobacco. Revised rates are based on financial information obtained since the 2021/2022 rates were announced on April 21, 2021, and will be applied to all services provided since July 1, 2021, and thereafter.
