Agricultural Commodity Graders analyze and certify the quality and/or condition of agricultural products against official standards and related regulations. Grading and inspections are different for every agricultural commodity because of the many differences in products, production and processing methods, and marketing practices done to support each commodity.

Pre-Solicitation Announcement for Section 32 Purchase of Pork Products

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced plans to purchase Pork Loin Roast for distribution to various food nutrition assistance programs. Purchases will be made under the authority of Section 32 of the Act of August 24, 1935, with the purpose to encourage the continued domestic consumption of these products by diverting them from the normal channels of trade and commerce.

USDA Seeks Companies to Provide Food Commodities to Meet the Departments Demand in its Nutrition Assistance Programs

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking suppliers of buttery spreads, canned vegetables, dehydrated potatoes, frozen chicken, frozen turkey, and pasta to help support the demand for wholesome, high-quality products for use in USDA’s nutrition assistance programs.
