USDA Announces $5.3 Million Available for the Micro-Grants for Food Security Program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced $5.3 million in funding for the Micro-Grants for Food Security Program (MGFSP). Authorized in the 2018 Farm Bill, MGFSP was designed specifically to realize USDA’s commitment to support communities across the U.S. that have significant levels of food insecurity and import significant quantities of food.

USDA Announces $1 Million in Grants Available to Support the Federal-State Marketing Improvement Program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced that $1 million in matching grant funding is available for the Federal-State Marketing Improvement Program (FSMIP). FSMIP offers grants with a one-to-one dollar match to assist in exploring new market opportunities for U.S. food and agricultural products, and to encourage research and innovation aimed at improving the efficiency and performance of the marketing system.

USDA announces $6 Million in Competitive Grant Funding for the Acer Access and Development Program

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced $6 million in competitive grant funding for the Acer Access and Development Program (Acer). This program supports the efforts of states, tribal governments and research institutions to promote the domestic maple syrup industry.
