USDA Terminates 10 U.S. Consumer Standards That Impede Effective Marketing of Specialty Crops
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced the termination of 10 U.S. consumer standards that are obsolete and impede the effective marketing of specialty crops.
AMS is terminating the consumer standards for Italian sprouting broccoli, fresh carrots, celery stalks, husked corn on the cob, fresh kale, fresh spinach leaves, Brussels sprouts, fresh parsnips, fresh turnips and beet greens.

National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) Meeting - Virtual
The NOSB met to discuss substances petitioned for addition to or deletion from the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National List), substances due to sunset from the National List in 2024, and recommendations on organic policies.
The NOSB typically meets twice per year in various locations around the United States. During meetings, the NOSB listens to public comments, discusses agenda items and Subcommittee proposals, and then votes on recommendations to the Secretary in a public forum.
