The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agriculture Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking nominees for the National Honey Board to fill four member and five alternate seats whose terms will expire Dec. 31, 2022. Nomination applications are due by June 1, 2022.
The National Honey Board is seeking nominees for one first handler, one importer, one producer, one marketing cooperative representative member, and their alternates to serve three-year terms in office. The board also needs one additional importer alternate position to serve a two-year term.

USDA Seeks Nominees for Positions on the Plant Variety Protection Board
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking nominees to fill 14 positions as members on the Plant Variety Protection Board. Individuals appointed to the board will serve two-year terms beginning Oct. 1, 2022, and ending Sept. 31, 2024. The board is an advisory committee established in accordance with the Federal Advisory Committee Act.
USDA Approves New Moisture Meter for Grain Inspection
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Marketing Service approves the GAC2700 Moisture Meter by DICKEY-john for use in the U.S. Official Grain Inspection and Weighing System beginning March 14, 2022.
Evaluation of the GAC2700 provides equivalent results to currently approved moisture meters, GAC2500 by DICKEY-john and AM5200A by Perten Instruments.
