LFS Executive Summary – Louisiana

The Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) in collaboration with Louisiana State University Agricultural Center (LSU AgCenter) proposes to develop and implement the Local Food for Schools Cooperative Agreement Program (LFS) to offer school food authorities the resources to procure locally grown foods from local producers, small businesses, and socially disadvantaged farmers/producers.

Pre Solicitation Announcement for Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) Purchase of Vegetable Products

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced plans to purchase commercially available Mixed Vegetable-Can sizes 12/29 oz and 12/15 oz, Low Sodium Collard Greens-Can 12/14 oz and Green Bean-Can 12/14.5 oz for distribution to various food nutrition assistance programs. Purchases will be made under the authority of Section 5 of the Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) Charter Act.

Pre-Solicitation Announcement for CCC Purchase of Frozen Blueberry Product

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced plans to purchase Frozen Blueberry Products for distribution to various food nutrition assistance programs.  Purchases will be made under the authority of CCC of the Act of December 20, 2018, with the purpose to encourage the continued domestic consumption of these products by diverting them from the normal channels of trade and commerce.

USDA Announces Temporary and Emergency Grain Storage Options for U.S. Warehouse Act Licensees

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is authorizing agricultural commodity warehouses licensed under the United States Warehouse Act (USWA) (7 U.S.C. 241 et seq.) to store grain under emergency and temporary storage options.

Warehouse operators can submit requests with justifications for authorization of emergency and for temporary storage at warehousing@usda.gov.
