USDA to Host March Webinar on Specialty Crops Import Filing

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will host a webinar on March 3, 2021, to highlight procedures for filing imports entering the United States. The webinar will focus on how to file products regulated by 8e import requirements using the Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). All electronic filers and stakeholders are encouraged to participate.

USDA Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee Virtual Meeting

The virtual meeting of the Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee is being convened to examine the full spectrum of fruit and vegetable industry issues and provide recommendations and ideas to the Secretary of Agriculture on how the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) can tailor programs and services to better meet the needs of the U.S. produce industry.

Softwood Lumber Research, Promotion, Consumer Education and Industry Information Order: Assessment Rate Increase

Summary

This rule amends the Softwood Lumber Research, Promotion, Consumer Education and Industry Information Order (Order) to increase the assessment rate from $0.35 to $0.41 per thousand board feet (mbf). The Order is administered by the Softwood Lumber Board (Board) with oversight by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). This rule will also add the conversion factor for square meters to board feet and makes one conforming change.
