The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced plans to purchase Alaska/Pacific Seafood Products for distribution to various food nutrition assistance programs.  Potential materials may include 111452 - PACIFIC ROCKFISH FILLETS FRZ PKG-20/2 LB, 111451 - PACIFIC WHITING FILLETS FRZ PKG-20/2 LB, 111453 - PACIFIC SALAD SHRIMP 250-350 PKG-20/2 LB, and 111454 - PACIFIC SALAD SHRIMP 350-500 PKG-20/2 LB.

The South Carolina Department of Agriculture (SCDA) is requesting funding through a Cooperative Agreement with USDA AMS under the Local Food Purchase Assistance program to facilitate the purchase and distribution of local foods within the state. SCDA will work with a network of distributors and farmers to ensure the purchase of local foods from rural and socially disadvantaged farmers, as well as the distribution of local foods to underserved areas.
