1. Why did USDA develop the USDA Harmonized GAP Plus+ audit?
The USDA GAP Program has moved the Aquaponics Policy from a pilot program to full implementation. This document provides requirements for aquaponic operations to be eligible to be audited under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) GAP audit program. The Aquaponics Policy has specifically been updated to include microbiological thresholds for water used to grow crops.

Dried prunes are prepared from sound, properly matured prune plums from which the greater portion of moisture is removed by drying. The dried prunes are cleaned to assure a wholesome product; they may be treated with water or steam; and a safe and suitable preservative may be added.
These instructions are a guide for certification of farmers’ stock peanuts. The term “Farmers’ Stock Peanuts” means picked or threshed peanuts which have not been shelled or otherwise altered (except for removal of foreign material, loose shelled kernels, and excess moisture) from the form customarily marketed by producers. There are no current standards covering farmers’ stock peanuts.
