The U.S. Department of Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Marketing Order and Agreement Division (MOAD), invites you to a FREE live, interactive webinar on how to meet AMS’s Section 8e Import Requirements for fruits, vegetables, and specialty crops using the new Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) interface from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.  The webinar will provide an overview of the fundamentals of the ACE ITDS project and explain the proper way to file an entry in compliance with Section 8e requirements.  Join us to learn about:

  • Expediting the release process using the new ACE interface
  • Requesting an AMS inspection through ACE
  • Providing proof of inspection if product has been certified by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) prior to importation.
  • Filing an Importer’s Exempt Commodity Form (FV-6) for product exempted for processing or charity

Our presentation will be hosted by Rick Lower, Assistant to the Director of the Marketing Order and Agreement Division.  Rick has 30 years of experience with AMS and has been the agency’s subject matter expert on Section 8e Import Requirements since 1997.  Since 2014, he has been the AMS point of contact on the ACE-ITDS Project.  You may contact Rick directly at richard.lower@usda.gov .
