USDA Announces Meeting Dates for the Grain Inspection Advisory Committee

Today, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) announced the Grain Inspection Advisory Committee 2024 summer meeting will take place May 15-16 in Kansas City, Missouri, beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day. Participation can be virtual or in person.

In addition to general program updates, agenda topics include:

  • Discussions about cyber security.
  • Committee quorum, nomination process, and handbook.
  • Standardizing protein moisture basis certificate.
  • Grain inspection technology and establishing a technology subcommittee and
  • Emerging grain export issues.
