AMS Solicits Nominations for Members of the USDA Grain Inspection Advisory Committee

Date
July 10, 2024

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) seeks nominations for individuals to serve on the USDA Grain Inspection Advisory Committee. USDA is seeking individuals who represent grain producers, processors, merchandisers, handlers, exporters, consumers, grain inspection agencies, or scientists.

The advisory committee meets twice annually, and the meetings are held in a hybrid style where participants can attend in person or virtually. Committee members serve without compensation but are reimbursed for travel expenses. Advisory Committee recommendations help AMS advance the needs of grain stakeholders who operate in a dynamic and changing marketplace.

AMS will accept nominations submitted to Kendra Kline, Chief of Staff, Federal Grain Inspection Service, at Kendra.C.Kline@usda.govuntil Aug. 26, 2024. Nomination forms are available on the Grain Inspection Advisory Committee webpage on the AMS website. A notice announcing the nomination period with instructions on submitting applications was published in the Federal Register July 10, 2024

For more information contact Kendra Kline at (202) 690-2410.
