NSL Bacterial Pathogen Testing
Bacteria are detected using the latest and most effective technologies to ensure fast turnaround times and fair cost. Methods resources include AOAC Official Methods of Analysis (OMA), FDA Bacteriological Analytical Methods (BAM), FSIS Microbiology Laboratory Guidebook (MLA), Codex Alimentarius and the Food Emergency Response Network (FERN).
Testing includes but is not limited to:
- Enumeration of Escherichia coli and the Coliform Bacteria
- Aerobic (standard) plate count
- Diarrheagenic Escherichia coli (O157:H7, O104:H4,non-O157 STEC)
