The committee is seeking to fill seats for one grower member, two handler members, one processor member, and their alternates for two-year terms beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2027. Additionally, one grower member position is open for a partial term, beginning when the selection is approved and ending June 30, 2026.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced a final rule adjusting membership on the United Soybean Board to reflect shifts in soybean production levels that have occurred since 2022.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is delaying enforcement of the requirement for hemp produced under the USDA Domestic Hemp Production Program to be tested by laboratories registered with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Due to inadequate DEA-registered laboratory testing capacity, testing can be conducted by labs that are not DEA registered until Dec. 31, 2025. 

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking nominations from fluid milk processors and other interested parties for candidates to serve on the National Fluid Milk Processor Promotion Board. The deadline for nominations is Jan. 10, 2025.

From the nominees, the Secretary of Agriculture will appoint six individuals to succeed members whose terms expire on June 30, 2025. Newly appointed members will serve three-year terms from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2028.
