Native Village of Port Heiden LFPA Plus Executive Summary
The Native Village of Port Heiden, a Federally Recognized Tribe, is located in Alaska, 424 miles southwest of Anchorage. Local Food Distribution program’s purpose is to provide tribal members with locally sourced food purchased from local food producers, our salmon fishermen. This program will buy salmon from local salmon fisher producers, store, ship, and deliver food to all community members and all other tribal members. The beneficiaries will be community members and tribal members of the Native Village of Port Heiden, both the salmon fisher producers and the community members.
