The organic sector of American agriculture has seen unprecedented growth over the past decade. U.S. sales of organic products continue to grow, and global organic supply chains have become increasingly more complex. With this increased complexity, including an increase in organic imports entering the U.S., USDA has taken further steps to protect the integrity of the organic seal.

For USDA Licensed Producers Only

Licenses issued under the U.S. Domestic Hemp Production Program are for growing hemp, not medical or recreational marijuana. Marijuana remains classified on Schedule 1 of the Controlled Substances Act and is subject to any and all restrictions and penalties attached to such federal classification.

USDA is currently only accepting applications from producers located in the following States:

Hawaii
New Hampshire
Mississippi
Wisconsin
North Carolina
Utah
Missouri
Vermont

Cotton

Physical cotton standards, used for manual grading and instrument testing of cotton, are utilized by cotton classification facilities around the world for the purpose of providing quality measurement data based on internationally recognized and accepted levels.
