USDA Announces $4.8 Million Available for Fiscal Year 2020 Micro-Grants for Food Security Program (MGFSP)
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced $4.8 million in funding for the Micro-Grants for Food Security Program (MGFSP). This new program will assist agricultural agencies or departments in eligible states and territories to increase the quantity and quality of locally grown food through small-scale gardening, herding and livestock operations. MGFSP is authorized by the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (Farm Bill), and the grant period for agreements between the eligible applicants and AMS is four years.
USDA Announces the National Sheep Industry Improvement Center is Accepting Grant Proposals
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced the National Sheep Industry Improvement Center Board of Directors is accepting grant proposals for the Sheep Production and Marketing Grant Program (SPMGP). The SPMGP was established to foster improvements in the U.S. sheep industry and will be accepting proposals through Sept. 15, 2020.
