USDA Announces Appointments to the Popcorn Board

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced the appointment of three members to serve on the Popcorn Board. These three appointees will serve three-year terms, beginning Jan. 1, 2025, and ending Dec. 31, 2027.

Newly appointed members are:

  • Seth Kunnemann, Imperial, Nebraska
  • Cindy Moyer, Mount Joy, Pennsylvania
  • Eric J. Sieg, Ramsey, Indiana

The Popcorn Board has five processor members. Members can serve up to two consecutive three-year terms.

USDA Proposes Rule to Revise Salable Quantities and Allotment Percentages of Native Spearmint Oil for the 2024-2025 Marketing Year

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is proposing a rule to revise the quantity of Class 3 (Native) spearmint oil produced in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon and parts of Nevada and Utah (Far West) that handlers may purchase from, or handle on behalf of, producers during the 2024-2025 marketing year.

USDA Seeks Nominees for the Fresh Pear Committee

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking nominees for positions on the Fresh Pear Committee to fill two grower member and four handler member seats, each with a first and second alternate. Selected members will serve two-year terms beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2027. An additional grower member second alternate position is open for a partial term beginning when the selection is approved and ending June 30, 2026.
