On November 4, 2024, the Office of the Secretary and the Agricultural Marketing Service Commodity Procurement Program held a virtual meeting to discuss kosher and halal commodity purchase programs.

The National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) will meet to discuss substances petitioned for addition to or deletion from the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National List), substances due to sunset from the National List in 2027, and recommendations on organic policies.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced a proposed rule that revises the formulas used to calculate hourly fees for official inspection and weighing services performed under the U.S. Grain Standards Act (USGSA).

USDA has established cooperative agreements focusing on three key areas to support participant success in the pilot:
