Forest County Potawatomi Community

The Forest County Potawatomi Community (“FCPC” or “Tribe”), a Federally Recognized Tribe, will distribute approximately 4,500 food boxes to Native Americans in Forest County, Wisconsin and surrounding counties. The project will also support additional food distributions to tribal elders through Feeding Wisconsin’s Tribal Elder Food Box Program.

USDA Seeks Nominees for the American Egg Board

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking nominees for the American Egg Board (Board) to fill nine member and nine alternate member vacancies. All nine members and nine alternate members will serve two-year terms beginning March 2024 and ending March 2026. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 26, 2023.

Any egg producers owning more than 75,000 laying hens may be nominated by a certified eligible operation. USDA will select appointees from the nominated producers.  

USDA Seeks Nominees for the American Lamb Board

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking nominees for the American Lamb Board (Lamb Board) to succeed five members with terms that expire in early 2024. Nominations are needed to succeed members that include one producer with 100 or less lambs, one producer with more than 500 lambs, one feeder with less than 5,000 lambs, one first handler, and one seedstock producer. The deadline for nominations is May 5, 2023.
