Carcass Instrument Grading

AMS sought comments on proposed revisions to procedures related to the use of instrument technology in the official grading of meat.  In response, stakeholders submitted the following comments. View comments. Revisions to QAD 511 and QAD 512 procedures for beef carcass instrument grading were made based upon stakeholder comments and engagements. The updated procedures went into effect March 11, 2024. The effective date for QAD 513 is July 1, 2024.
