The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) Market News (MN) is looking for your help in improving Market News. AMS is developing the Market Analysis & Reporting Services (MARS), a new data management system that will improve the flow of Market News data from sources, to USDA analysts, and to the public, while expanding Market News data collection and distribution into remote locations.

MARS will combine all Market News reporting functions into a single, standardized user-managed platform. This system will include new functionality to improve data quality, dynamic data collection and dissemination, additional descriptive statistics, automated data transfers, additional qualitative data, and consumable digital data sets for public users.

This webinar is a first step in establishing focus groups to provide input to AMS on the Agency’s plans to improve public facing data presence of Market News and to review the capabilities of the system prior to public release.  To help you decide if you would like to be a part of a MARS Focus Group, we will cover:

  • The MARS system & how it will work?
  • How will MARS benefit the agriculture industry?
  • The role of a Focus Group participant, and
  • How to become part of a Focus Group?
