AMS Presents: the Pesticide Data Program (PDP) --- A Synopsis.

The AMS’ Specialty Crops Program Webinar Series, in partnership with the AMS Science & Technology Program, will host a presentation on our Pesticide Data Program (PDP).  This program tests food products for pesticide residues, with an emphasis on the foods children eat.  The data are used by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to re-register crop protection tools, increase consumer confidence in the U.S. food supply, and facilitate global trade by helping resolve trade disputes.  This webinar will cover:

  • What is the Pesticide Data Program (PDP)?
  • Who uses the data?
  • How does PDP collect and test food samples?
  • How does PDP benefit the agriculture industry?
  • How can you access the data?

Our presentation will be hosted by Mr. David Nadrchal, a Chemist with the Pesticide Data Program.  For more information about PDP, please contact David at david.nadrchal@ams.usda.gov or Diana Haynes at diana.haynes@ams.usda.gov .
