The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) Division remains fully operational and continues to serve the fruit and vegetable industry by facilitating fair trade practices through education, mediation, arbitration, licensing and enforcement.

PACA’s online services are available 24/7 through the ePACA portal (https://www.ams.usda.gov/rules-regulations/paca/epacaportal) where customers can apply for or renew PACA licenses and submit informal complaints.

PACA continues to renew licenses for existing licensees, issue licenses to new entities, handle complaints on behalf of the industry, and take hundreds of calls monthly regarding contract questions and issues.

Between March and May 2020 PACA received 382 complaints totaling approximately $17.1 million and assisted 692 callers concerning produce transactions valued at over $22.6 million.
