USDA Issues Opportunity for Designation and Request for Comments on the Official Agency Servicing the West Lafayette, Ind. Area

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) announces an opportunity for designation of grain inspection in the vicinity of the West Lafayette, Indiana Area. AMS’s Federal Grain Inspection Service requests comments on the official agency servicing this area. In addition, FGIS asks persons or governmental agencies interested in providing official services in this area to apply for designation.

Titus Grain Inspection Inc. is currently designated through June 30, 2021, to provide services in their area and AMS seeks comments on the quality of services provided by the current provider.

Information and instructions for submitting applications and comments were published in the Federal Register on June 28, 2021. The period for application and comment is in effect until July 28, 2021.
