Chalmers Carr is the owner and operator of Titan Farms, the premier grower, packer and processor of fresh peaches and vegetables in the Eastern United States. The farming operation consists of over 6,200 acres of peaches, 550 acres of bell pepper and 800 acres of broccoli.

Chalmers believes in supporting the produce industry through service and currently serves on the American Farm Bureau Federation Labor Committee and is Chairman of South Carolina Farm Bureau’s Labor Committee. In 2015 he was appointed to the USDA National Agricultural Research, Extension, Education, & Economics Advisory Board and is chairman of the Specialty Crop Committee. Chalmers is a member of the South Carolina Agriculture Commission and serves as treasurer of the South Carolina Peach Council where he also served as president from 2013 to 2015. However, his true passion is working with leadership in Washington D.C. to reform immigration policy and temporary worker programs. Chalmers has testified before Congress on immigration and serves as president of USA FARMERS, a national H-2A employer association whose mission is to work with elected officials to ensure the agriculture industry has a secure source of labor for years to come.

Over the years Chalmers has received many professional accolades, including the South Carolina Peach Council’s Mr. Peach Award, South Carolina Farmer of the Year Award and Clemson University’s College of Agriculture Professional Achievement Award. He is also a graduate of the United Leadership Class of 2016. Titan Farms was proud to be the first recipient of the Bayer CropScience Produce Innovation Award and Chalmers and Lori Anne were named as Farm Journal’s Top Producer of the Year in 2017.

Chalmers earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Clemson University and has been married to his wife Lori Anne for 26 years. They are the proud parents of two children, Chalmers IV (22) and Carly Anne (21).
