The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced the 2025-2026 fee schedule for official inspection and weighing services, supervision of official inspection and weighing services, and miscellaneous fees for other services performed under the U.S. Grain Standards Act. The fee schedule will be effective October 1, 2025.
The U.S. Grain Standards Act requires the Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) to annually review its fees; ensure that the fees cover the costs of the services; and ensure a sufficient operating reserve. FGIS calculates its hourly, unit, and tonnage fees in accordance with the regulations at 7 CFR 800.71.
