USDA Seeks Nominees for the American Lamb Board

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking nominees for the American Lamb Board to succeed one producer with 101 to 500 lambs, one producer with more than 500 lambs, one feeder with 5,000 or more lambs, and one first handler, all with terms that expire in early 2025. Any U.S. producer, feeder, or first handler who owns or purchases lambs may be considered for nomination. The Secretary of Agriculture will select individuals from the nominations submitted. The deadline for nominations is May 17, 2024.

USDA Seeks National Hass Avocado Board Nominees

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking nominations for the Hass Avocado Board to fill seats for eight members whose terms expire Oct. 31, 2024. Nomination applications are due April 1. Appointed members will serve three-year terms beginning Nov. 1, 2024, and ending Oct. 31, 2027.

USDA Seeks Nominees for the American Pecan Council

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is seeking nominees for the American Pecan Council to fill five grower, three sheller, one accumulator, one public member, and their respective alternate seats. Nominations will be accepted Feb. 15 - April 1, 2024. Ballots will be mailed to eligible voters May 1 and responses must be received by June 15. The appointed members will serve a four-year term of office beginning Oct. 1, 2024.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking nominees for the United Soybean Board to succeed 16 members who represent Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Virginia, and one alternate member in Georgia, all with terms that expire December 2024. Individuals appointed to the board will serve three-year terms beginning in late 2024 and ending in 2027. The deadline for nominations is May 3, 2024.

USDA Seeks Nominees for the United Sorghum Checkoff Program Board

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is seeking nominees for the United Sorghum Checkoff Program Board to succeed four members with terms that expire in December 2024. Nominees are needed to succeed two members who represent Kansas, one who represents Texas, and one who is at-large. The deadline for nominations is May 3, 2024.
