The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today published in the Federal Register a clarification and a correction to a final rule published on March 11, 2019, and effective May 1, 2019, announcing an amendment to the Class I skim milk price formula in accordance with the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (2018 Farm Bill).
The notice clarifies that the final rule amending the Class I skim milk price formula will apply to milk pooled on and after May 1, 2019. The amended price formula will be reflected in the May Advanced Class I skim milk price to be announced April 17, 2019. The notice also includes a rounding instruction in the price calculation.
