USDA Bison Purchase Program Announced

The U.S. Department of Agriculture today announced plans to purchase commercially available Ground Bison for distribution to the recipients participating in the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations.

A Request for Proposal (Solicitation) will be issued in the near future.  All offers must be submitted electronically through the Web-Based Supply Chain Management (WBSCM) website at -http://www.usda.gov/wps/portal/usda/usdahome?navid=WBSCM.  Offers submitted by any means other than WBSCM will be considered non-responsive.

Offerors are urged to review all documents that pertain to this program.  The Qualification Requirements for the Prospective Contractors Selling Commodities to USDA, dated April 2016, is available on the AMS Commodity Procurement website www.ams.usda.gov/selling-food.
