Background
The Grain Inspection Advisory Committee under its current rules of order must have a 2/3 majority of the committee in attendance and/or under approval of nomination in order to hold official business meetings
Objectives and Discussion
The committee would like to discuss other options for changing the current quorum requirements for a more consistent ability to hold business meetings. The committee believes that meeting regularly each year gives them a better ability to address industry issues in a more timely manner
Next Steps
The Grain Inspection Advisory Committee will have the opportunity to discuss this topic at the next scheduled 2024 meeting and provide guidance on how to move forward.
