Location: USDA parking lot, corner of 12th Street & Independence Avenue, S.W.

Dates: Every Friday starting June 5th and ending October 30th

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The USDA Farmers Market began in 1996 and, due to the success of the market, has continued since that time. The initial season started with five market days in the months of August and September, but now the USDA Farmers Market operates weekly from June through October with an average of 14 farmers and vendors. Approximately 2,500 visitors come to the market each day of the season. The market has become an integral part of USDA's commitment to develop effective direct marketing strategies for farmers.

Please stop by and meet your local producers and purchase locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, maple products, baked goods, and much more. The local farmers and vendors are from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.
