Export Certification Program: Sanitary Certificates
The Dairy Grading Branch offers sanitary certification services to USDA Approved plants, National Conference on Interstate Milk Shipments listed plants, and plants approved by the Food and Drug Administration for export to international markets. We want to be as flexible as possible when providing certifications for export. However, we will only provide certifications for those products or conditions for which we have documentation or knowledge through plant and product inspections and grading.

As a condition of trade, the AMS sanitary certificate is accepted by numerous countries.

Notices and News

Turkey extends U.S. market access to Oct. 1, 2015 - Turkey’s Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock granted a request by USDA-FAS to extend current certification requirements for U.S. dairy shipments. Turkey will continue to accept the APHIS certificate currently used until Oct. 1, 2015. If no extension or new agreement is reached in the meantime, no products with certificates dated after Sept. 30, 2015 will be allowed to enter Turkey. Please contact the USDA Animal and Health Inspection Service (APHIS) office in your service area to inquire about certification procedures for dairy product intended for export to Turkey. APHIS contact information is found online.
