Greenhouse Gas Technical Assistance Provider and Third-Party Verifier Program

The Greenhouse Gas Technical Assistance Provider and Third-Party Verifier Program will facilitate farmer, rancher, and private forest landowner participation in voluntary carbon markets. The program will provide a list of qualified technical assistance providers and third-party verifiers who work with producers to generate carbon credits, enabling USDA to share trusted information and reduce market confusion. Under the program, USDA will also list widely accepted voluntary carbon credit protocols designed to ensure consistency, reliability, effectiveness, efficiency, and transparency.

USDA Extends Application Deadline for ACER, FSMIP, MGFSP Grant Programs

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has extended the deadline to May 28, 2024, for the Acer Access and Development Program (Acer), the Federal State Marketing Improvement Program (FSMIP), and the Micro-Grants for Food Security Program (MGFSP) Request for Applications. Due to a planned Grants.gov outage for maintenance around the original deadline to apply for these programs, the deadline has been extended to accommodate applicants who might have otherwise experienced delays in submission.

Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe LFPA Plus Executive Summary

The Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Buffalo Authority Corporation will partner with the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Veterans Food Pantry to purchase and distribute local foods from our local socially disadvantaged producers. These foods will be distributed to the 25 underserved communities and rural residents on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservations which includes some of the poorest and most forgotten people in the United States.
