The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) today announced upcoming webinars to share information about its grant application processes. The webinars will provide an overview of program purposes, eligibility, and application requirements and are open to all interested farmers, producer groups, grant applicants and members of the public. You can find more information on these webinars, including dates and registration instructions, on the AMS grants website.

AMS is also seeking subject matter experts to serve as peer reviewers to evaluate grant applications for five AMS grant programs, including:

These peer reviews bring together diverse individuals who can provide fair, expert, and unbiased evaluations of proposals. Reviewing applications will take approximately six weeks. Reviewers independently evaluate applications assigned to them and then meet virtually with other panel members to discuss findings and finalize reviews and scoring.

Those interested in serving on a review panel should visit How to Become an Application Reviewer and apply to be an AMS application reviewer.

The AMS Grants Division works to improve domestic and international opportunities for U.S. growers and producers. AMS works with a variety of organizations to support rural America and the nation’s agricultural sector. For additional information visit the AMS Grants & Opportunities web page.
