Hello, today I’ll be showing you how to register in ATLAS as a Broker entity. Before we get started, please note that USDA eAuth level 2 authentication is a required prerequisite. If you need assistance registering for eAuth level 2, please refer to USDA’s guidance provided on the eAuth login portal. After authenticating with eAuth, you will be prompted to identify if you are importing or exporting goods from the U.S. For this example, we will be selecting the export option, and selecting next to continue. On the next screen you are asked to identify if the account would; export products on behalf of another organization where an organization is defined as a single-entity and all of its associated subsidiaries. In ATLAS, this would define an account as a Broker and allow for additional flexibility with export certificate requests. We will be selecting yes for this in order to create a broker entity. Next you are asked to identify if you are creating a new account or attempting to associate yourself with an existing. For this now, we are selecting the option to create a new account. Please note that creation of new accounts involves an approval process to ensure that duplicate accounts are not erroneously created. Following this option, you will be prompted to enter your work name and information, your entity/account information, and select commodities which your entity/account exports for. Depending on your entity, you may also provide some additional information if desired. As seen here, checkboxes are provided if your entity information is the same as your work information and your billing information is the same as your entity information, this is to assist you in getting through the registration process. The checkbox for alternate billing address only needs to be checked if it is different than your account billing address. Press next to submit your User registration request. If someone at your broker entity has already registered with ATLAS, they will be provided a unique account registration identifier, known as an ATLAS User Registration Token. For these instances, please select “existing” account and provide the token to automatically associate yourself to that account within the system. You will also be able to provide your work name and details. A work address may be the same as the entity/account address but does not need to match if your physical work location is a different than that of your entity. Once all information has been entered select next. You will be prompted with a message indicating that your registration request has been submitted. Please note and save the confirmation ID provided here for your records. Congratulations! Your Broker registration request has been submitted to USDA for review and approval. You will receive additional information once it has been reviewed. If you have any questions, please use the contact support tab at the top of the page. We look forward to you using ATLAS and receiving your feedback so we may improve your experience. Thank you.
