Through the collaborative efforts of the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinarian Medicine (CVM) and the AMS Livestock and Poultry (LP) Program, a Letter of Agreement between the agencies was signed providing AMS with the authority to perform registration, verification of public health statements and certification of facilities manufacturing animal food. The extent of the verification process will be directly related to the complexity of the certification statements that are required. The AMS verification activities will be conducted on a fee-for-service basis, and registration for this program will cost $155.
Parties interested in registering for the export of DDG/DDGS to China should complete an application for service. Once the application for service is submitted and AMS verifies that the facility is in good standing with FDA, AMS will add the facility to the list of eligible exporters to China. A link to the list of eligible exporters can be found in the DDGS section of the guidance document below. Details for the registration process for DDG/DDGS as well as other feed, feedstuffs, and feed additives can also be found in this document.
