USDA Announces Popcorn Board Appointments

WASHINGTON, Dec. 27, 2018 - U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue today announced the appointment of three members to serve on the Popcorn Board.

Members newly appointed to serve three-year terms are: 

  • Tracy Boever, Sioux City, Iowa
  • Samuel Krug, Chapman, Neb.
  • Bill Brush, North Loup, Neb.

The Popcorn Board has five processor members. Each can serve up to two consecutive three-year terms.

2019 Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee Meeting

Postponed until further notice due to the lapse in federal funding

The Fruit and Vegetable Industry Advisory Committee (FVIAC) will meet to discuss agenda items, hear scheduled presentations, review working group reports, listen to public comments, and vote on proposed actions. The 2-day meeting is open to the public. Registration is required.

USDA Seeks Nominees for National Fluid Milk Processor Promotion Board

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) asks fluid milk processors and other interested parties to nominate candidates to serve on the National Fluid Milk Processor Promotion Board. The deadline for nominations is Dec. 28, 2018.

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue will appoint six individuals to succeed members whose terms expire on June 30, 2019.  Newly appointed members will serve three-year terms from July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2022.
