     Skim Milk Powder - South America

     Skim milk powder prices are unchanged. Contacts continue to relay a slowdown in Brazilian
     purchasing, as spot trades outside of contractual agreements are few and far between.
     Processors' intakes of condensed skim milk are not noted as abundant. The drought in
     Argentina continues to put strong bearish pressure on crop yield expectations, which will
     ultimately affect milk output due to feed availability and increased costs. Still, as Brazil
     has been somewhat less aggressive in regards to purchasing in recent weeks, contacts' second
     quarter expectations vary but are more uncertain than assured. Despite recent slowdowns into
     Brazil, SMP exporting into Algeria has offset some slower trading into China.
