CO_LS144 Columbia, SC Tue Feb 12, 2019 USDA-SC Dept of Ag Market News Low Country Livestock Exchange, Darlington, SC Weighted Average Report for Tuesday Feb 12, 2019 Cattle Receipts: 235 Last week: 434 Last year: 259 Compared to last week, feeder steers and feeder bulls were up to 5.00 higher. Feeder heifers were steady to 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows were too few to trend, and slaughter bulls were steady. There were light offerings of average to good quality cattle with active buyer participation. Slaughter cows made up 7 percent of the offering, slaughter bulls 4 percent, replacement cows 10 percent, other cows 4 percent, and feeders 75 percent. The feeder supply included 17 percent steers, 58 percent heifers, and 25 percent bulls. Near 10 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
